About the Role
Based at our Kapuni Gas Treatment Plant in South Taranaki this role offers variety, challenge and most importantly a structured development programme designed to fast track you to fully fledged plant operator status. In supporting the production teams’ daily operations you will contribute directly to our Plant’s operational and commercial success.
You’ll enjoy shift breaks to balance professional and personal commitments and an attractive remuneration and benefits package. Your sound technical skills combined with an ability to maintain composure and make sound decisions during times of pressure put you in an ideal position to run with this opportunity. Availability to work shifts in a 7-day week environment is essential.
You’ll bring existing petrochem experience. ENCHEM qualifications to Level 4 steam status is preferred, but not essential, however, a willingness to work towards it is.
In this role you will be directly involved in maintenance support and operations activities. Your advice will be sought in identifying opportunities for improving the safety, efficiency and operability of our production processes. You will also be involved in other activities involving emergency management, planned shutdowns and contingency planning to name a few. You get to see what happens right across the plant as you establish working relationships with maintenance and engineering staff.
