Reporting to the Production Manager, in this permanent, full-time salaried role you'll work our Night Shift - 10.00pm –6.00am starting Monday evening and finishing Saturday morning.As the most senior leader on the shift, you'll be responsible for setting the tone and working culture for the night shift team, while overseeing production, and ensuring operations run smoothly throughout the night.
You'll work closely with the two experienced Line Co-ordinators (team leaders) to meet daily targets and continue to build a highly trained, multi-skilled team of operators on the night shift.If you are already a strong people leader and night shift suits your lifestyle, this is a great opportunity to advance your career in a company that is constantly improving, filled with friendly people who make great products!
If you bring us your passion for developing people and strong decision-making abilities in a time-sensitive environment, we can teach you the specifics of our industry.What you'll be responsible for:Managing the shift team across production lines, ensuring all production targets & manufacturing plans are achieved while optimising labour and minimising waste.Making confident and timely decisions regarding staffing, production priorities, and addressing any operational issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption.Managing, inspiring, engaging and developing a team of approx.
20 permanent employees, including recruitment, performance management and training plans.Championing Health & Safety and Food Safety cultures, driving GMP and ensuring safe working practices are maintained.Ensuring product quality standards are always met.Implementing IWS processes for the shift as they are rolled out and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.What you'll bring to the role:Proven leadership and team engagement experience within a manufacturing environment.Ideally, you'll have a tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Engineering, Food Technology or another relevant field.Familiarity with the physical and mental demands of working at night, and the ability to maintain high productivity and focus during these hours.Proven ability to make independent, well-considered decisions under pressure.A passion for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.Knowledge of and commitment to maintaining safety best practices in a production environment.Excellent communication and organizational skills.The ability to analyse production data to identify trends and future improvements.An eagerness to learn and grow your career with us.What can you expect in return?
