PRODUCTION MANAGER
Our client is a New Zealand based food manufacturing company in Waihi. They produce and package a wide variety of food items nationally and Internationally.
The Role:
Reporting to the GM and the Director of the company, the successful candidate will be a self-motivated person with great leadership skills and a machinal mindset, someone who understands the factory environment and can manage a staff of 18-20 people.
The person will be working with production and packaging team, making sure that the production plan is on schedule along with packaging Schedule for the operation to run smoothly without any stock or delivery issues.

Candidates should possess:
Previous experience of managing staff in a factory environment
Excellent communication and Leadership skills
Mechanical mind with Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Current OSH and F-endorsed forklift driver's license and the ability to undertake some heavy lifting and perform physically demanding duties
Experience in finishing, using hand tools (if needed)
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and instructions
Sound knowledge of purchasing, inventory control and stores operational procedures
Excellent knowledge of GMP Hygiene requirements
Ensuring compliance to Food Safety and workplace Health & Safety policies
