Oji Fibre Solutions is New Zealand's leading manufacturer of pulp, paper and suppliers of packaging solutions to a wide range of industries throughout the country. Our paper bag business based in Penrose, Auckland designs and produces multi-wall bags for the dairy, cement, flour and sugar industries throughout the country and into offshore markets.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Production Manager role is an integral part of the paper bag business and is all about people leadership and managing continuous improvement. Your experience in transforming behaviour by driving positive change will be highly regarded, as will exposure to a fast paced, high volume production/manufacturing environment (packaging, FMCG or pharmaceutical). With 45 direct reports, this role is all about influencing behaviour and leading from the front.
Your pro-active style means you are always two steps ahead of the game. Problem-solving along with the ability to analyse data, is second nature to you. Here's your chance to make a real impact. Ultimately we are looking for someone who is dynamic and thrives on the challenge of improving staff performance, whilst challenging the status quo to improve overall production and quality. Experience in LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma is advantageous.
