Write the next chapter of your ABB story.This is a position with grade18Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will support the unit in achieving production targets by adhering to systems and processes.
You will operate machinery and equipment on the shop floor, read and interpret technical instructions for product assembly, and perform assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products, including packing.
The work model is #LI-Onsite, contributing to the Production Manufacturing team in Napier.
Main stakeholders include the IPU Leader, Planning and Fulfilment Team, Manufacturing Engineers, and Quality and Production Development Team.
You will be mainly accountable for:Conducting all types of assembly work to produce products and systems.Performing work manually or with light hand tools.Carrying out quality testing as per production processes.Operating within standard procedures and maintaining a clean work area.Our team is collaborative, focused on problem-solving, mutual support, and high-quality standards to meet production goals.

This position reports to the Line Coordinators.Qualifications for the roleProficiency with assembly tools, methodologies, and processes relevant to manufacturing.Experience reading and interpreting technical diagrams, instructions, or blueprints.Skillful in operating light hand tools and following standard procedures.Committed to quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Formal qualification or proven experience in manufacturing or related fields.Good communication skills in English.Valid New Zealand work permit or visa.More about usABB Smart Power offers energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial plants, critical infrastructure, and commercial buildings.
