Trimble is recruiting for a Product Tester to fill an opportunity in Christchurch, New Zealand . This is for a Fixed Term contract of 12 months.
Job Summary
The Product Tester performs testing and troubleshooting of systems and equipment used in the development of handheld devices with the Mobile Computing Solutions division. This position works with the development and test engineers to perform test validation procedures and product summary reports of test results.
What you'll do?
Perform test and diagnostic programs as required
Document test results
Report test failures/issues using the JIRA automation reporting tool
Work with engineers in isolating root cause of defects
Provide technical support for test procedures and root cause analysis of test results
Willingness to undertake outdoor, physical work as and when required.
Who you are?
Recent qualification in Geography or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of operating systems (Windows or Android based devices)
Familiar with construction and operation of handheld/tablet devices - advantage
Ability to perform OS loads and Application software loads
Exposure to GNSS (GPS) concepts and applications is a plus
Ability to follow written test procedures precisely
Familiar with Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, Excel and Power Point
Excellent technical writing skills and good verbal communication
Ability to work as part of team in a fast paced, dynamic environment
High attention to detail
