About the Job: As a Product Tester you will perform testing and troubleshooting of systems and equipment used in the development of handheld devices. In this position you will work with the development and test engineers to perform test validation procedures and product summary reports of test results. We have two positions available: 1x Full time fixed term position for 12 months, within our Mobile Computing Solutions (MCS) Division 1x Full time permanent position, within our Geospatial Division Please specify in your covering letter which position you are interested in being considered for or if you are interested in being considered for either position. What you'll do? To be successful in this role you will have meticulous attention to detail, be process driven and enjoy getting the job done right. Perform test and diagnostic programs as required Document test results Report test failures/issues using the JIRA automation reporting tool Work with engineers in isolating root cause of defects Provide technical support for test procedures and root cause analysis of test results Willingness to undertake outdoor, physical work as and when required What you'll bring? Qualification in Geography or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience Demonstrated knowledge of operating systems (Windows or Android based devices) Ability to perform OS loads and Application software loads Ability to follow written test procedures precisely Excellent technical writing skills and good verbal communication Solid analytical and problem-solving skills and a willingness to work outside, as required While the appropriate qualification and a passion and attitude that match our values are all that is required, we would consider it a bonus if you could also demonstrate: Exposure to GNSS (GPS) concepts and applications Familiar with construction and operation of handheld/tablet devices 1 or 2 years experience in a similar field.
