Working closely with the Design team, you'll play a key role in bringing Kowtow's collections to life by ensuring a smooth and efficient production process and on time delivery of our high quality collections.If you are a confident communicator with strong experience in apparel production, and you are passionate about creating clothes that are kind to the planet, we want to hear from you!The Primary ResponsibilitiesCoordinate design and product development to meet deadlinesSchedule and execute tech packs and prepare samples for factory submissionCommunicate effectively with offshore manufacturers, suppliers and contractorsSupport the follow up and reporting on sampling and critical path statusManage internal and external quality control testing and checksResearch and develop new notions, create purchase orders and submit costing detailsMaintain production data to ensure accuracySupport the Kowtow customer repair and regenerate programAssist with compiling product information and ensuring all records are up to dateManage the process of submitting and approving bulk fabricsSupport the development of supply chain sustainability solutionsActively research construction techniques for inspiring design developmentYour Skills and ExperienceAt least 3 years experience in fashion production or supply chain roleExperience communicating with offshore manufacturers and building positive relationshipsStrong understanding of garment construction, materials, and manufacturing processesProficient with hands on garment repairs and alterationsConfident communicator with excellent verbal and written skillsResourceful and proactive, with proven ability to problem solve in a fast paced environmentMac literate, and experienced with Microsoft Excel and Adobe SuiteIdeally you care about preserving the planet as much as we do and have a genuine interest in circularity, sustainability and innovation.Working at KowtowKowtow's workroom and studio is located in central Wellington, Aotearoa's creative capital.
