You’ll be working end-to-end on your own design tasks, as well as assisting others through design critique and mentorship. You’ll be contributing to design strategy, team culture and looking after key relationships with Product leaders. You’ll help define how we improve as a Design team by working closely with other Leads, as well as our Design Directors.Day to dayYou’ll tackle large, complex and systemic pieces of work that help set the vision for product user experience across the product and within specific areas. Presenting design and design strategy to a variety of internal and external groups, across product and engineering. You won’t manage anyone but as a Lead you will mentor others so that they can do their best work and develop skills and expertise. You will lead by example, offering design critique, sharing your thoughts and domain knowledge. This could be anything from helping deliver the team’s professional development programme to hosting knowledge sharing sessions or even creating better processes that can be implemented across the wider team.Leads also work closely with their Design Directors, building strong relationships with engineering leads and product managers to help influence prioritisation of work and roadmap items.What you need to be successful
You’re a high calibre product designer with hands on experience with the entire design process from uncovering customer needs and pain points, to delivering considered interfaces
You have experience in contributing in some way to design and product strategies
Experience working directly with product and engineering teams
A track record of mentoring and growing other designers in your team
