The Team: What we do
Canterbury Health Laboratories (CHL) Finance Team is a tight knit team who is responsible for supporting the wider CHL team, the CDHB and the WCDHB helping organization to maintain financial strength and accountability. This role will be also supported by the wider CDHB financial and procurement teams through the fostering of mutually beneficial relationships.
The Role: Where you fit in
We are looking for an experienced Product and Contract Coordinator to join our finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will provide support and coordination for our purchasing/price control function and also assist with other contract administration tasks.
We are looking for a professional who is a natural and enthusiastic team player, who is able to take self-responsibility and to fit easily into our small but friendly and supportive CHL Finance Team. The role also requires liaison with the CDHB supply and procurement team.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Expenditure and revenue contact administration and approval process facilitation/coordination
Monitor suppliers invoices to ensure the prices are correct
Monitor of service purchase orders to ensure they are raised within a timely manner and as per the contract terms
Maintaining suppliers price list to ensure prices are up to date, complete and aligned with CDHB Purchasing catalogue
Communicate with CHL requestors and purchasing team to ensure interchange of information, thereby enabling effective pricing and contract negotiation.
Routine data maintenance of the billing system(s) data tables
Completion of Oracle customer/supplier maintenance forms
Maintain supplier expenditure report and communicate with the team
Coordinating update of suppliers expenditure and revenue contract schedules
Track product utilisation to support laboratories costing processes
Your skills will include:
Strong business administration skills including (exposure to project or contract administration would be advantageous)
Solid Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft Excel, further training to be provided
Effective interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for the role.
Proven ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively to specified deadlines
Proactive and demonstrates initiative
Excellent attention to detail with high level of accuracy
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Be a positive team member with a good sense of humour.
