Taitara Mahi- Procurement Specialist, Regional Procurement Hawkes Bay
(Permanent Full-Time)
We have a great opportunity for a Procurement Specialist (Regional Procurement) to join a tight knit procurement team that is working collaboratively across the five councils within the Hawke?s Bay. Collectively the councils have the objective to develop and implement a strategic and sustainable procurement model to support them in meeting their regional collective objectives and deliver a positive impact on economic, environmental, social and cultural well-being for our communities.
We are looking for someone who has:
Demonstrated ability to keep project initiatives on track and deliver on time
2-3 years? experience in a supporting role relating to projects and\\or programs of work
Procurement \\Supply Chain knowledge and commercial awareness (with a view to this role being a stepping stone \\pathway to a procurement career)
Previous or current experience working in a local government context would be an advantage
The successful candidate will have:
Strategic awareness ? able to see the bigger picture
Ability to nurture and manage collaborative cross agency stakeholder relationships
Ability to communicate effectively across a number of stakeholders and teams
Ability and desire to learn, contribute and develop strategic thinking, particularly within a local government \\ regional context
Strong verbal and written communications
