The Team
The role of the Supply Chain team is to provide efficient procurement of goods and services in order to meet end user requirements through collaborative engagement and relationship management and supporting the ongoing development and effectiveness of the Procurement function for the CDHB, South Island DHBs and the wider New Zealand health sector.
The Role
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our Supply and Procurement team.
Responsibilities:
Procurement Project Management and implementation
Procurement data analysis
Provision of Professional Procurement Service to Internal and External Customers
Effective Supplier Negotiation and Liaison
Providing Support to Stakeholders and other Supply team members

Essential:
Experience in procurement
Experience of working in a team environment
Experience of managing supplier/customer relationships, commercial contracts and products
Computer literacy including experience in the use of the Microsoft suite of products (Excel and Word)

Desirable but not essential:
Experience in the Oracle financial computer system
Working knowledge and application of the Government Rules of Sourcing
Previous experience within a hospital environment or healthcare setting
A relevant tertiary qualification, or previous relevant government procurement experience
