Waitemata District Health Board, through its Facilities Services Group (FSG), has embarked on a programme of major capital works, and various infrastructure upgrades across Waitemata DHB’s three main campuses (North Shore Hospital, Waitakere Hospital and the Mason Clinic). The DHB has a significant asset portfolio across these campuses and a further 30 community sites. We now have an exciting opportunity for a specialist manager to join the Facilities Services Group, to support campus development that is catering for the growing Waitemata population. The Procurement and Commercial Lead role will involve the negotiation, procurement and management of all contractual relationships associated with construction of a facility, including the prudent management of expenditure in accordance with contractual requirements.
You will be an experienced practitioner with experience in both contracting and consultancy environments, able to provide specialist leadership around managing commercial risk, and to deliver practical outcomes for Waitemata DHB, working constructively with our staff, key stakeholders and industry professionals.

You will have been involved in the construction industry for at least 10 years, be degree qualified and supported by relevant procurement, contract and commercial qualifications.

Ideally, although not essential, you will have some experience in healthcare construction and working in large organisations.
