Supervisor Process Room
Reports to: QA/Operations Manager
Position Location: East Tamaki

Number of Direct Reports: 12 (10 permanent and casuals as required (day shift); plus 2 Team Leaders (afternoon and night shift))

How you'll make an impact:

Lead the process room operation to effectively and efficiently complete the day to day assembly activities safely and in conformance with standard operating procedures, and on time and within budgets. This requires ownership and responsibility for conversion to finished products, timely supply to meet or exceed customer quality and delivery expectations and business operational targets.

What will you do?
Lead and report on process room deliverables and objectives
Champion our safety culture by ensuring employee accountability and that safe work practices including wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) are adhered to
Co–ordinate the workload and workflow of the team to meet required time lines, product specifications and quality expectations
Maintain synergy with the afternoon and night shifts through the team leaders, including communicating with afternoon team leader at shift change any issues/information which will affect work flow for incoming shift
On-going development of the team leaders through coaching and skills development to support achievement of objectives, personal development and change management
Ensure permanent and casual team members are trained to the level of competency required and to contribute to the ongoing development of process room team members through coaching and feedback
Take a hands on and team approach to completion of required tasks and hold team members accountable for performance
Lead by example. Set and expect high standards of performance and behaviour in line with the company’s 4I values and safety standards
Facilitate positive team dynamics, including resolving any difference in opinion or approach
Assist team leaders with managing staffing requirements on afternoon and night shift
Complete Performance, Management Development (PMD) process for all reports
Maintain accurate records in accordance with the Quality system
Perform QC checks to ensure batches meet specification and communicate production/quality issues to process team members and /or other stakeholders
Apply 5S management standards and ensure team is trained and follows standards
Participate in Practical Process Improvement (PPI) activities as appropriate and utilise continuous improvement methodologies in daily work
Lead regular tool box talks
Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned to contribute to the efficient operation of the team and business.

How will you get here?

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years in a manufacturing supervisory role
Experience with and high level of understanding of ISO9001 quality systems and principles
Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, quality and inventory systems
Experience in leadership and team development
