Our Opportunity
As the Process Manager for our Meadow Fresh site in Christchurch, you will be responsible for establishing and driving best practice manufacturing and provide key leadership on process innovation.
You will also be responsible for leading and executing change management activities to support ongoing continuous improvement, manage labour requirements to meet capacity planning, develop staff under their guidance and be responsible and accountable for waste and giveaway minimization, safety, high quality and cost-effective management of people and materials and standardization.
Key responsibilities include:
Plays a pivotal role in directing staff to the importance of the GFNZ processes aimed at maintaining a healthy and safe workplace
Coaches direct reports, providing regular constructive feedback
Ensures all measurement systems are implemented and maintained as required
Ensures acceptable manufacturing standards are understood and maintained by all production staff
Ensures all reporting requirements are supplied in an accurate and on-time manner
Manages people, plant and materials to ensure targeted Standardisation levels are achieved (these measures include productivity, line utilisation/downtime, waste %/reduction target, OEE, quality, DIFOT)
About You
People management skill track record
Proven quality assurance and food safety systems understanding
Dairy Process operation and/or engineering management practice
Supply chain management understanding
Experience or participation in project management
Planning, prioritisation and process management competence
Organising competence
SAP and computer navigation skill
5+ years manufacturing experience in the food industry
5+ years established leadership of a mid-sized team
