Job Title: Process Engineer Reports to: Engineering & Facilities Manager Position Location: Christchurch, NZ Position Summary: Thermo Fisher Scientific New Zealand manufacture purified protein and serum products for use in global bio-production and research industries. The role will be directly involved in projects providing technical support and insight for facilities, equipment and processes at the Christchurch site. Additionally supporting our Auckland and Nelson, sites providing an opportunity to work on innovative equipment and systems. Essential Experience includes project management and delivery, hygienic process manufacturing in regulated industries such as food, dairy or pharmaceutical and a good understanding of chemicals and industrial automation systems. Key Responsibilities: Assure equipment, facilities and processes are safe and fit for purpose Leading new engineering projects. Conceive and scope engineering solutions to maintain and develop the site's infrastructure. Perform validation and calibration activities to directly support the sites quality systems. Provide technical expertise for utilities, plant, automation, and chemical handling systems to ensure the company meets industry leading standards. Belonging to the engineering team, we are involved with day-to-day engineering maintenance and respond to facilities/utilities breakdowns and carry out engineering technical investigations. We are a quality focused organization, so an understanding of compliance and quality management systems including change control, deviations and investigations is required.
