As a Strategic Lead within our national Prison Industries team, you will be exploring opportunities to create new prison industries and working to optimise our existing ones. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of industries across New Zealand, taking advantage of your established networks and building new relationships with potential customers and training organisations.You will able to demonstrate the following:A track record of successfully implementing strategies, plans or projects within a custodial or similar environment
An ability to deliver project outcomes with full end to end accountability, within tight timeframes
Experience with strategic business development
A style that allows you to work confidently and effectively in an environment of information ambiguity
An ability to access and maintain an extensive network of technical and professional contacts, across both internal and external organisations
The ability to work effectively with people from all walks of life
The confidence to present to senior leadership teams professionally and with credibility
Excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation experience.

You will likely bring a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and five plus years of previous experience in relevant roles. Experience in the prison industry environment (including from other jurisdictions) would give you a head start, but it’s not required.You will be located at National Office (Wellington) and will be required to travel to our prison locations from time to time. The ability to travel and a full driver licence is needed.
