The Council's IT function plays a pivotal role in our organisation through its range of technology and services, supporting the delivery of the Council's services to the community. There is virtually nothing that happens in our organisation without some IT touch.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Warehouse Developer who can provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in the areas of business intelligence, enterprise data warehousing and cloud architecture.
The BI and Analytics team exists to support good decision-making and evolve strategic thinking by providing statistical analytical expertise, guidance and advice.
You will work alongside the BI Architect, BI Analysts, DW Specialists and solution architects to provide technical solution design and software development for new and existing solutions. You will enjoy working hands-on with data warehouse development, ETL, SAP BW, cloud solutions, and will be able to provide technical leadership and guidance to the team.
To be successful you will have proven experience with ETL, Strong SQL expertise, excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills and experience, extensive knowledge of Kimball design patterns. You'll be someone who prioritises being current with technology trends, capabilities and product development. You will be organised and be able to manage and implement initiatives to continuously improve the design and development process. You'll have a natural ability to pass on valuable information and will enjoy mentoring and coaching other technical staff.
