Key Responsibilities:Provide scientific and technical expertise to lead a research team to develop capabilities in assay design, development and bioactivity screeningDevelop mechanistic understanding of the biological effects of identified bioactivesDevelop research proposals and seek research fundingDisseminate research findings through conference presentations and journal publicationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with local and international research networksJob Requirements:Possess a PhD degree in biochemistry, cell biology or relevant disciplinesExcellent knowledge and experience in microbiology and food fermentationAt least 5 years of independent research experience and leading a research teamStrong supervisory skillsStrong track record for securing research fundingExcellent publication track recordExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders at all levelsTrack record of strategic thinking capability with an outcomes-oriented mindset, able to translate vision into actionable plans and drive their executionThe above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive.
