As kaitiaki (guardian) of Auckland Council facilities, we play a vital role in promoting the wellbeing of our communities while also delivering strategically significant programmes.In this engaging and varied position, you will make a significant impact on the region by providing strategic advice and support to the CF division as well as to external stakeholders and Local Board and Regional Work programmes. Collaborating closely with partners and specialists, you will lead the modelling and review of CF’s investment and asset portfolio while driving work programmes to help influence the future position and direction of Council’s assets. Key responsibilities include leading the modelling of investment portfolio options to support the determination of the Long Term Plan (LTP), identifying and assessing alternative investment opportunities to reach the desired future state and collating and communicating the relevant elements of the Auckland Plan, Local Board and Service plans to achieve this. Additionally, you will work closely with and support the Head of Investment Programme and Advice and help ensure our assets and investments and fit for purpose, in line with the Auckland Plan, and supporting positive outcomes for Aucklanders.He korero mou: About youHaving a proven track record in developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships in complex situations and the ability to relate policy considerations and decisions to operational processes, you understand how the Auckland Council governance model operates. You will bring seven years’ or more experience working in a policy or strategic environment, and hold a tertiary degree in commerce, finance or another related discipline. With prior asset management expertise, you will be familiar with the principles of asset management and funding sources. Your proven record in maintaining complex stakeholder relationships and demonstrating sound political acumen will stand you in good stead.
