The Data and Digital Directorate leads, supports and advises health and disability sector transformation through the use of data, digital services and technology
You will lead optimal design and use of digital systems and enabling technologies in the Ministry and the health and disability sector to maximise whole of system value, with a focus on the delivery and use of cloud services and enabling platforms.
To be successful in the role you will:
Lead the development of a health system enterprise architectures and supporting principles, guidelines and standards aligned to agreed Ministry priorities
Ensure architecture and designs reduce complexity, maximise re-use of components, increase standardisation, increase security and privacy, focus on automation and cloud delivery, and enable interoperable systems
Provide leadership and expert architecture advice on overall design and implementation of systems aligned to the agreed enterprise architectures to support effective use of data and digital technologies and the delivery of sector value
Promote national, regional and cross-sector collaboration and innovation, and contribute to and leverage learnings from international and local good practice in terms of health sector architecture
Lead business or technology changes to support the organisation adopt modern digital best practices
You will have a relevant tertiary level professional qualification and/or significant relevant work experience as well as a well-developed understanding of the main issues for the New Zealand health sector. You will also have expertise across a range of areas that may include enterprise architecture, information strategy and planning, vendor management and/or business change. It is important that you have a demonstrated ability to write and talk about complex clinical and technical issues clearly and concisely, and to tailor complex messages to a range of audiences including clinical, government, senior management and the public.
