Join us as we partner with clinicians, providers, and whanau to improve health and disability support services in Aotearoa.This role is critical in supporting the National Mortality Review Committee (NMRC) to develop strategies and methods to reduce avoidable mortality in Aotearoa.
You will collaborate with the National Mortality Management Group (NMRMG) and subject matter experts (SMEs) to deliver evidence-based reports and recommendations that impact mortality.About you:Tertiary qualification, preferably at PhD level, with expertise in health, social sciences, or economics.Understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research approaches.Strong understanding of avoidable mortality and experience navigating the health and equity landscape.Proven experience engaging effectively with diverse communities.Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships.Skilled at translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.Understanding and application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and culturally safe practices.How to apply:This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to improving health outcomes and addressing health inequities in Aotearoa New Zealand.
