Health Hawke's Bay is the region's single Primary Health Organisation (PHO) covering a population of over 160,000, we aim to reduce inequities and improve health outcomes for our population As a team we are passionate about health and equitable care delivery for the Hawke's Bay community.
This is a 0.8 FTE Fixed Term role (two years) for a registered pharmacist (with a current practising certificate) who has a genuine interest in improving health outcomes. The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with our stakeholders is vital to the success of this position.
The main components of this role are:
Supporting Primary Care providers to address inequities in prescribing and utilisation of medications
Analysis and interpretation of medication utilisation trends for General Practice prescribers
Continuous quality improvement through regular and structured review processes focusing on best practice prescribing and testing
Assisting with peer review and other educational activities - this includes facilitation and provision of resources
Providing evidence-based / best practice medicines information to primary care practitioners.
