Your new company
This department within the Victorian Government works to achieve a high level of economic development for Victoria. This department is looking for a new Policy Officer to join the team to contribute to the development of policy frameworks, projects and analyses of key economic issues.
Your new role
Your new role will be critical in providing authoritative and strategic advice to the support to the Director and Operations Manager, in relation to implementing the recommendations from the two independent reviews. You will carry out your role by:
Helping to establish, implement and support processes and policies in a heavily regulated environment
Ensure current processes and policies are aligned with relevant legislation
Engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders with the ability to understand business practices and translate them into tangible policies
Carry out additional research and evaluation projects as and when required

To be successful in this role, you will be able to
Demonstrate a successful track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with government and external stakeholders.
Your excellent communication, research, and analytical skills will assist you in making a valuable contribution to the team.
Ideally you will thrive in a fast paced and time critical environment, with a solution based mindset.
Previous work in a Victorian Government setting will strongly assist with your success in the role.
Experience in developing policy and processes in a regulatory of compliance focused environment will be highly advantageous.
