Plumbing Operations Manager

With a number of significant projects lined up, and a strong pipeline of work for clients based in the Wellington region, we need an experienced Plumbing Operations Manager to work alongside the Plumbing Contracts Manager to lead our capable Plumbing Team and to support our growth.
The role requires someone with:
• Estimating skills and contract awareness in order to identify scope, capture variations and manage projects is required
• Experience in residential and commercial project work in the Plumbing sector
• Competent and confident leadership
• The ability to lead by example in all facets of the role
• Motivation to do quality work and provide a superior service to our clients
• A solution-focused, growth mindset
• Planning and leading the team plus strengthening culture
The role will involve:
• Working proactively with Plumbing Contracts Manager and Project Supervisors to manage resources
• Working with Project Supervisors to manage project progress. Set achievable targets and minimize downtime
• Creating and maintaining relationships with Principal Contractor site contacts
• Assisting Plumbing Contracts Manager with management of Variation Orders
• Assisting with Project Material Procurement
• Managing subcontractors and other service providers for Project Assistance
• Assisting with upskilling, training, Professional and Personal Development of Plumbers, Drainlayers and Apprentices
