What will I be doing?
To carry out duties, individually or as a member of a team, for the operation of controlling the transfer and stockpiling of waste & recyclables at a busy waste transfer station.
To cover various roles including working with mobile plant for loading and stockpiling. On occasion it will be necessary to work with fixed plant. Also duties including the guiding of tipping vehicles and maintaining a tidy site.
Operate the weighbridge and accurately record the weight and other specified details of vehicles both entering and leaving the site.
Ensuring that within his/her areas of responsibility, that SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with site permit, all applicable legislation and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.
Undertaking first aider / fire safety duties on site.
What are the requirements?
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to obtain a working knowledge of the site licence / permit and who will work to ensure site operations meet the standards required.
A flexible approach to work is required as you will be expected to cover for annual leave and on occasion to help cover weekends.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance, maintenance of site equipment, infrastructure and operation of site machinery.
Previous plant experience or work within a similar role would be advantageous.
Good IT skills.
