This is an exciting opportunity to join a stable company for what could be a long-term contract and to play an important role in their development strategy.We\'re looking for a strong, creative, and motivated engineer who thrives in team environments and can contribute, innovate and deliver industry-leading solutions.Successful candidates should enjoy working in fast-paced environments and strive to succeed.Responsibilities will include:Develop, execute, and manage Oracle PL/SQL as well as T-SQL stored program units such as a procedures, functions, packages and database triggers
Participate in various projects and new initiatives. Act as a technical resource with Oracle Server and / or SQL Server, as well as performing duties such as requirements documentation, mapping and program logic, designing solutions, testing and implementation
Understand and interpret customer requirements and develop solutions to meet these
Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, data mapping, program logic and flowcharts
Design and development of software using primarily PL/SQL batch processing
Learn and master database schema of complex third-party enterprise applications
To be successful you will need:Possess expert knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, with proficiency in algorithm design
To understand Oracle and / or SQL database administration tasks, and be able to support database maintenance and tuning
The ability to follow software development best practices for code control & environment migrations
An understanding of data warehousing & ETL concepts
Excellent and concise written & oral communication skills
