About the role
In this role you will work as part of a team helping children with disabilities achieve optimum function. You will work with and learn from a multidisciplinary team working with children referred to the CDS. You will work closely with families and whanau in an outpatient, community or hospital setting.
Nelson Marlborough Health (NMH) is offering a New Graduate Paediatric Physiotherapy position at Nelson Hospital, commencing as soon as possible. This is a two year fixed-term, part-time position working 64 hours a fortnight 0.8FTE.
You will be working alongside two Senior Paediatric Physiotherapists in Nelson and links with another Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist who is based in our Wairau CDS.
You will be expected to manage your own case load, working independently with children 0-16 years who have developmental delay, physical disabilities, orthopaedic and orthotic issues, seating and positioning needs.
About you
You will be a Physiotherapy New Graduate with New Zealand registration and a current Annual Practising Certificate. You will have a passion for working in paediatrics, have excellent communication and rapport building with children and their families and whanau. You will be dedicated to adhering to best practice and your own professional development.
