The Team:What we do
Here at Christchurch Hospital we are looking for experienced Physiotherapists to join our team working across various specialties in Christchurch Hospital.
We currently have the following fixed-term positions available, which could also be combined to create a full-time opportunity:
Part-time 24hr per week (0.6FTE) until approximately March 2021, and 16hr per week (0.4FTE) until approximately November 2020 working within our Cardiorespiratory and Surgical Cluster. In these roles you will be working across the Medical Respiratory ward supporting junior staff and fourth year physiotherapy students. As part of our Cardiorespiratory and Surgical cluster, you will also work with patients across the clinical specialities of Intensive Care, Cardiology, Cardiothoracics, Vascular and the Surgical Progressive Unit
Full-time 40hr per week (1.0FTE) providing float cover during our winter months until approximately November 2020
Part-time opportunity to provide cover in Orthopaedics, or providing float cover until approximately September 2020

The Role:Where you fit in
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
Undertaking expert assessments, completing appropriate interventions and providing advice or referring to other services
Supervising and mentoring rotational staff and final year physiotherapy students
Helping to facilitate service improvements
Your skills will include the following:
A broad range of experience, ideally including, respiratory, surgery, cardiology and critical care
The ability to work collaboratively across the multi-disciplinary team
Enthusiastic and confident in sharing your knowledge across your discipline
A working knowledge of quality improvement processes
Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board and an Annual Practicing Certificate is essential
