Contract: Permanent, Part time - 0.6FTE / 24 hours per week
Salary: $62,671 - $72,005
ABOUT THE ROLE
The physiotherapist in this role will work predominantly with older people admitted for a variety of acute or chronic medical conditions including conditions related to age and frailty. There will be a need to work flexibility to support the wider inpatient physiotherapy team working with people who are recovering / rehabilitating from orthopaedic surgery, amputations and those in the Rehabilitation service admitted with acquired brain injury / stroke and progressive neurological conditions.
DUTIES
Comprehensive physiotherapy assessment and treatment of patients
Working closely with the multi-disciplinary teams
Client centred goal setting
Delegation and oversight / support of Allied Health assistants
Manual handling assessment and training of patients / family / carers and staff
Working collaboratively with community providers to support integrated practice
Mentoring of students and rotational staff

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
NZ Registered Physiotherapist with a current annual practicing certificate
Member of Physiotherapy New Zealand - professional association (desirable)
Collaborative and effective multi and interdisciplinary team work
Experience of managing a busy caseload and delegating appropriately to skilled assistant staff
