We are currently seeking aPhysical Education Teacherto start work ASAP on afull time basisat on of our local schools inChristchurch. Youdo not need to hold QTSto be considered for this role you just need to have apassion for PEand and interest insupporting others and teaching. As it is full time, you will alsobe required to cover other subjectswhen you are not teaching Physical Education (full support with planning and prepartion will be offered).
The school is an alternative provision which provides education for those pupils who haveSocial Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)which prevent them from accessing their mainstream place or they have been permanently excluded from mainstream school due to various reasons. It is a very small school whichis currently able to offer40 pupil places. This comprises of up to 20 places at the main site and up to 20 places at the medical site, therefore the class sizes areno more than 6 pupils. This means a lotless markingand you will havetime set aside for planning and preparation during the school hours. The schools runs very similar to a mainstream school, they have an academic timetable, and they adhere to mainstream rules such as wearing a uniform, no phones allowed etc. and all the students will do GCSEs.

- be resilient
- be confident working with students with SEMH/challenging behaviour (desireable)
- have some experience working with children
This is a temporary long term role however, it is likely to lead into permanent employment.
