permanent, 40 hours a weekOurPharmacy Service offers a 3 year training position to become a Pharmacy Technicianto a NZ citizen or permanent resident, moving on automatically to a technicianrole.
As aTechnician in training, you will study part time via NZ Open Polytechnic and beexposed to a variety of Pharmacy technician based roles. You will be part of agreat team who will collectively support you in your training. Your typical workschedule is Monday to Friday, with most of your weekends free.
You must either already be in training tobecome a Technician or have NCEA L2 Mathematics and English to allow them to enterthe NZ Certificate in Pharmacy Technician training course.
PharmacyServices, based at Waikato hospital, provides service to Waikato hospital, atertiary centre, plus 6 smaller rural hospitals/ care units spread across theWaikato region. The team of approximately 80 staff is divided into five teams –two clinical, dispensary/supply (including compounding), quality use ofmedicines, and our community pharmacy service (Pharmacy on Meade). We are a close knit team, focussed on helpingpatients through the provision of excellent pharmaceutical care, and we arepassionate about constantly striving to improve the services we provide.
