The Emergency Department at Te Whatu Ora Tairawhiti is open for applications for PGY3+ RMOs starting 30 January 2024 for 6 months or 1 year.
We are accredited by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) for the Rural Hospital Medicine Training Programme (RHMTP).
Accreditation as a network ED site for ACEM training is anticipated in the next 12 months. Our service includes resident medical officers (RMOs) working closely with senior medical officers (SMOs) as well as trainee interns to provide efficient and effective care for the people of Tairawhiti.
