Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated Personal Assistant to support our Group Manager in our Tertiary Division for Te Ara Kaimanawa/Graduate Achievement, Vocations and Careers group.
You will provide proactive, highly responsive, and confidential administrative and secretarial support ensuring the Group Manager and members of the tertiary management team are best positioned for success. Your initiative will ensure conflicting demands are managed with sensitivity and sound judgement however it’s your exceptional people skills that will ensure positive workplace culture and relationships are maintained.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
an excellent customer focus, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills
a positive can-do attitude
the ability to prioritise and manage a number of competing tasks
resilience to deal with pressure in a mature way
the ability to work collaboratively to collectively to meet team administration needs
advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
understanding of the machinery of government and managing ministerial correspondence.
