And with a long-standing history of serving the lower North Island, we are proud to be the largest private hospital in the Wellington region.About The RoleAs a Personal Assistant at the Wakefield Specialist Centre, you will ensure the delivery of professional, high quality specialist consulting services.You Will AlsoLiaise with patients and consultants in a warm and professional mannerCoordinate patient files for daily clinics as outlined in the desk files, ensuring all relevant information is available to consultant at the time of appointmentBe efficient and accurate managing the consultant diary recognizing the need to give urgent cases priorityBe efficient in the management of patient appointments including maintenance of a recall listAssist patients with queries, e.g.
insurance claims, surgery costings and related queriesThis is a permanent position for 80 hours per fortnight and is located at Wakefield Specialised Centre in Wakefield Hospital, Newtown, Wellington.About YouDesired Skills and ExperienceSkillsYou will have well-developed communication and time management skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and some flexibility with work hours to accommodate clinic needs.
You will also have the following:Enjoy working independently as well as within a small teamKnowledge of standard software packages and the ability to learn company-specific software if requiredAdministration expertise, attention to detail and problem solving skillsOrganisational SkillsDemonstrate ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesAn understanding of the importance of confidentialityKnowledge of medical terminology an advantage but not essentialLeading through our valuesWe are a values-driven organisation.
