We believe in the power of creativity, collaboration, and out-of-the-box thinking to drive success.About the role:As a People & Culture Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting our Central & Southern team by providing advice and guidance on various HR-related matters.
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture (based in Auckland), you will also work closely with the Central Regional Manager and the wider Operations team.This is a full-time (40-hours per week) role and based in our Central regional office in Ngauranga, Wellington.Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assisting with end-to-end recruitment.Coordinating the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all necessary documentation and compliance requirements are met.Providing guidance to managers and employees on handling workplace conflicts and performance concerns.Leading investigations, disciplinary meetings & restructures within the region.Supporting with performance management of staff.First level support for general payroll issues.Advising on workplace policies and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.Identifying training needs and coordinating professional development opportunities.Working with the wider P&C team on the implementation of succession planning.Promoting a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives.About You:We are looking for someone who has proven experience in an HR Advisory role or similar position.
You will need to have demonstrated experience in employee relations and performance management.
In addition, you will need to have a good understanding of NZ employment law and HR best practices.
As we are a unionised workforce, having experience working with unions would be an advantage.It goes without saying that you will need to have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.The role also requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Due to the nature of your work, you will also need to have a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.There may be some occasional travel up to our Levin office and a trip up to Auckland twice a year for our P&C team days.This is a great opportunity so if this sounds like you, apply now!
