A Wellington CBD based client is looking for two Payroll Project Leads to join their team to support them in an initial contract through till June 30 2025, with likely extensions through till end of 2025 (and potentially beyond).About The RoleOverseeing a number of interrelated workstreams aimed at rectifying and remediating identified payroll issues, improving current systems & processes and ensuring compliance, the Payroll Project Lead/Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:Develop and oversee the project plan, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables while keeping within the budget constraints.Prioritise issues based on severity and impact, overseeing the correction of these discrepancies.Monitor project progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular reports to senior management and other stakeholders about the status, potential risks, and resolutions to problems.Conduct risk management assessments to identify potential challenges and devise contingency plans to mitigate identified risks.Facilitate change management processes including the development of support and training materials for payroll and customers to adopt new procedures and systems.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of rectification efforts and validate the integrity of payroll processes post-rectification.Develop a communication strategy that outlines clear objectives, target audience identification, tailored messaging, selection of appropriate communication channels, timing etc.
to ensure effective dissemination and reception of key information for Payroll customers and senior management.About You:The ideal candidate will have experience on a Payroll Remediation project performing a similar role, however any payroll project management experience would be massively beneficial.
Failing that, the non-negotiables are as follows:Excellent Stakeholder Management (internal and externally).Proven Project and Change Management experience.The ability to cope under pressure work within strict timeframes to a high degree of accuracy.A methodical approach to problems, and an ability to calm and reassure stakeholders - "we got this!
".Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
You will be performing regular project reports to Exec, Board, Risk & Assurance team, so this is non-negotiable!Benefits:In return you will join a small, high performing project team working within an organisation with clear vision and backing to tackle this specific issue.
You will also receive the following benefits:Hybrid working model – 3/2 or 4/1 models negotiable depending on capability after training period.Initial contract until June 30 2025, with likely extensions through till end of 2025/early 2026.Please bear in mind - this is a fixed term contract.
