The Payroll Manager's objective is to tactically resolve and mitigate any operational or system orientated risks to allow the wider team to flourish.In return for your hard work, you will receive the following:Full time, sociable weekday hoursUp to 2 days working from home per week.Permanent employment job securityA collaborative and friendly team environmentAn inspiring management and leadership teamExposure to an interesting industry that supports the next generation of academic excellenceA modern office workspace in Wellington City.An enticing six figure annual salary packageWhat you would be doingAs the Payroll Manager, you will be doing the following:Leading the payroll team on a daily basisMonitoring and signing off fortnightly end to end payroll payment processes.Providing high calibre advice and support to staff of all levels regarding payroll queriesProducing insights to leadership and project teams on payroll operations and system related mattersProvide guidance on relevant legislation in relation to employment law and Holidays ActProcessing payroll reconciliations on ad-hoc basisAdhering to strict deadlines and delivering results in a timely mannerWho are we looking for?We're interested in hearing from people with five or more years' experience as a Payroll Manager with people leadership exposure and a natural curiosity towards systems and processes.Ideally, you should have the following experience:Demonstrated experience as a manager within a payroll environmentAt least 5 years of experience in a payroll leadership level roleExperience in managing an end-to-end payroll function for approximately 1000+ staffConfidence to provide high level advisory to line managers, executives, and wider business units on payroll related matters.Have competent knowledge of the Holidays Act, Wages Protection Act, PAYE and ACC.Exposure to a selection of widely used payroll systems – ideally SAP, Oracle HCM or Ascender.What's next?To apply now and find your next payrolling opportunity, click the link provided.
