The Role: Pavement Design Manager
To support our growth and continued success, we now have an exciting opportunity in a brand-new role to be a key member of our technical team.
We invite you to bring your seasoned engineering skills to provide technical advice and develop the capability of the business in areas of pavement and civil engineering. You will play a lead role in delivering leading edge pavement solutions assisting the wider Higgins Pavement teams and laboratories.
Assist with strategy and direction in pavement engineering, design and technology
Oversee/undertake technical support activities on construction contracts and provide advice
Undertake pavement investigation, analysis and design of civil engineering and building works
Technically support the quality of growth of pavement design to provide sustainable future growth
About you
You will a relevant tertiary qualification in civil/pavement engineering and have 10+ years of professional engineering experience, predominantly in the pavement engineering field.
Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of pavement design as applied to the design, construction, maintenance and rehabilitation.
Comprehensive knowledge of the materials used in the design, construction and maintenance of pavements in New Zealand.
Be a progressive thinker with the ability to generate original or innovative ideas, display initiative and conceptualise programs that will benefit the business.
