Patient Transfer Officer - Palmerston North Patient Transfer Officer - Palmerston North Palmerston North Central, Manawatu Play a vital role in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and reliable transport service for Te Whatu Ora Health NZ, private hospitals, and other customers. The Patient Transfer Service workload includes planned and urgent transfers for hospitals and transport for residential care, palliative care, bariatric and air ambulance patients. Hato Hone St John provides services to Te Whatu Ora Health NZ and is the largest provider of patient transfer services in New Zealand. Duties Demonstrate interpersonal skills with a strong patient focus We have casual roles available that will be based out of Palmerston North Station - casuals can cover a variety of shift patterns and rosters. Skills & experience A full class '1' NZ drivers license, held for a minimum of 12 months with an excellent driving record First Responder qualification - we will train you up if you are new to Hato Hone St John Confident operating large vehicles and operating under lights and sirens when required Good level of physical fitness Resilient and able to work with autonomy Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus A genuine commitment to the well-being and care of others The ability to work under pressure Base salary that increases in the first year of employment plus annual increases Member discount on Goods & Services - Samsung, Torpedo 7, Harvey Norman, JB HI-FI and much more! Full comprehensive training including driving under lights and sirens, at the end of the course you will have a First Responder certificate equivalent to level 3 qualification.
