Hawkes Bay DHB is looking for a proactive and passionate health professional to drive continuous improvement in relation to patient safety and patient/ consumer experience.
You will work in partnership with the executive clinical professional leads and the Executive Director of People & Quality, with responsibility for directing and driving the ongoing development of a patient safety and improvement culture across the organisation and wider sector.
The position provides senior leadership and management of compliance, clinical risk, certification, legal, reportable events, consumer experience and risk management. You will have significant expertise in risk management and patient safety with specific responsibility for the development and management of a comprehensive risk management framework and patient safety and experience improvement work plan that ensures tangible reduction in patient harm.
You will be responsible to ensure effective implementation of national HQSC initiatives, ACC programmes and other endorsed programmes of work, aligned to the strategic direction of the organisation, including the effective development and implementation of the person & whanau centred care programme and effective utilisation of feedback from consumers through surveys, co-design initiatives and community engagement.
This role is suited to a skilled health professional with relevant clinical expertise with exceptional presentational skills. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have expert skills in building relationships with a variety of stakeholders including police, national bodies, staff, patients and their families.
