This person will be a dedicated litigation secretary on Mondays and Fridays from 8.30am – 5pm. On Wednesdays and Thursdays this role will move around to provide floating secretarial support to any one of our departments where cover is required. This is a great opportunity to develop experience across a broad range of practice areas and to develop relationships across the whole of the Wellington office.
For the right person, if a three day week was preferable this could be a Monday, Thursday, Friday role.
What makes our float secretaries most successful is adaptability, sound judgement/common sense, good interpersonal skills and a willingness to pitch in and help even if what you’re working on is new to you.
Our ideal candidate has:
a minimum of 2 years secretarial experience including managing diaries, arranging meetings, updating files, direct contact with clients
the ability to be flexible and operate as part of a team
an eye for detail and a high standard of accuracy
the ability to work on tasks unprompted and anticipate needs
a good level of knowledge in the Microsoft Office package including excel and powerpoint
the ability to multi-task
a bright and positive “can-do” attitude
