St Vincent de Paul Society known affectionately as “St Vinnies”, is a highly regarded charity organisation that offers community support services to people in need.
We are seeking a part time Accounts Administrator who can also undertake secretarial duties to support St Vincent de Paul’s Area Council and Operations Board. Reporting to the General Manager this position provides full accounts support and administration to ensure smooth operation of the finance and payroll, as well as secretarial support for monthly meetings. An understanding and empathy with the society’s mission and values is essential.
On offer is 20-25 hours per week, with flexibility and a rewarding work environment.
This is a varied hands-on position where you will be responsible for:
# Managing Payroll
# Assisting the General Manager with general financial accounting including invoicing; # AP/ AR/ data entry
# Providing administration support to the General Manager
# Secretarial support to the SVdP Area Council and Operations Board.
To be considered for this role you will have:
# A positive, can do attitude and the willingness to take on different tasks and learn new things
# At least 2 years in a similar role
# Financial administration experience
# Experience in the management of Payroll
# Proficiency with MS Office, Payroll Systems & Financial Software
# Experience in taking minutes
# Experience in preparing reporting documents
# Excellent communication skills including both written and verbal
# Excellent organisational and time management skills
# Good attention to detail and accuracy
# Excellent telephone manner
# Any formal qualifications in Office Administration or MS and financial packages will be highly regarded.
