Parks & Reserves Serviceperson

Our Parks team is responsible for keeping our District’s parks and open spaces looking great and being places for people to enjoy. Within the team the Parks and Reserves Serviceperson provides maintenance service activities for the open space, public land and reserve areas within the Kapiti District and is responsible for a range of tasks associated with:
the completion of pedestrian and ride-on mowing and line-trimming of specified areas;
ensuring that plant and machinery used is maintained to full working order; and
assisting with maintenance of the garden areas and environs to the required standard; planting of shrubs and trees; and seasonal herbicide, pesticide and fertiliser applications.
