Our busy painting company based in Arrowtown is hiring 1 hard-working Painter assistant to assist our painters work around our projects in the Otago Region.
Your duties include:
· Ensure the vans are fully equipt before driving to site.
â¢Â           Assist the painter in checking cracks and marks, filling holes and cracks
â¢Â           Protect floors, doors and furniture by covering, remove the fixtures before works.
â¢Â           Assemble and dis assemble scaffolds, load and unload or move paints, tools, equipment, machine and construction materials around the sites.
â¢Â           Set up ventilators, pressure cleaners
â¢Â           Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping using sandpaper, removing old paint coatings,?
â¢Â           Assist in mixing paints or oils to the correct required colour if required by painters .
â¢Â           Monitor inventory and supplies and report the shortage to painters.
â¢Â           Remove the covers, clean the sites after works
â¢Â           M aintain work tools and machines daily in a responsible and safe manner after the work is done
â¢Â           Refix the fixtures after work.
â¢Â           Follow health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
· Secondary/high school diploma is a must. · Be able to work on weekends and night shift jobs to meet deadlines. · Passing pre-employment d rug test and f ull driver license are required · Polite, p unctual and hard-working · Great attention to details and always stay alert to ensure safety · Have great interest in working in construction or becoming a professional painter. Offers:
· We will provide training in painting and advanced painting skills to suitable candidates who are willing to learn and desire to be a painter.
· Min $26.69 to max 26.69 per hour, min 30 to max 40 hours a week.
