Our Centre of Health and Social Practice delivers health professional programs in nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, counselling, social work and primary health care.

Due to the resignation of a staff member, we have a full-time permanent position available within our social practice teaching team.The appointing salary for this role will be between $74,400 and $97,700, dependent on skills and experience.We currently have a full-time permanent position for an Academic Staff Member (ASM) available within our social practice teaching team.
To be eligible for consideration, you will:Hold a postgraduate qualification in counselling or psychologyHave sufficient knowledge to teach psychology, human development, counselling approaches including Powhiri Poutama, Narrative Therapy, CBT and/or PCT, indigenous liberation studies and working with whanau to undergraduate counselling and social work studentsHave a competent application of Te Tiriti Informed practice, matauranga Maori and kaupapa Maori knowledge and worldviews in education as well as the well-being sector.Have a competent application of matauranga Maori in education and/or social services.Possess a valid permit to live and work in New ZealandAn ability to teach Te Tiriti o Waitangi related content, tikanga and basic te reo.Me pehea te tono | How to applyAs a responsible employer and education provider, Wintec | Te Pukenga is committed to the protection of children and vulnerable persons and applies relevant policy and practice to meet this commitment.Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and will be required to undergo pre-employment checks; successful candidates will be required to undergo relevant vetting and employment checks.
