Passionate about helping older members of our community through assisting them to move house?
We are looking for males and females to join our Wellington based team as a packer. Our packers work with seniors to assist them in decluttering, downsizing, packing boxes, clearing the estate and relocation to the new residence.
A reasonable level of fitness is required and you will need to be resilient, organised, communicate effectively and work well in a team - following instructions clearly from support teams.
Most importantly you will be patient, respectful, and hardworking. Tasks include: Assembling packing cartons using packing tape dispensers Wrapping and packing a full range of household and garage items
(Items range include but not limited to: kitchenware -crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, electrical equipment etc; linen; bedding; ornaments; artwork; tools etc Sealing and labelling full packing cartons Relocating and storing completed packing cartons and small furniture items in designated area Using the equipment provided effectively - safety first! Assisting with replenishment of packaging materials into vehicles as needs be. Preferred candidates must have the following attributes and capabilities:
Honesty Reliability Good coordination Follows direction well Health and Safety focused Communication skills Team player
Physical Attributes:

Ability to lift packed cartons and items up to 15 kgs Reasonable level of stamina Mobility (safe manual handling) Sensory skills Good personal hygiene Ability to be on their feet for long periods of time Good physical health
Legal Attributes

NZ resident or appropriate visa Full NZ drivers license Police check Drug check
You will be given 24 hours minimum notice for available shifts (you will also need to give minimum 24 hours notice if you are not available for shifts). Each shift will be worth a minimum of 4 hours long (that is, even if you only work 2 hours for a shift you will still be paid for 4 hours)

Between 8.00am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday (there may be the odd occasions where weekend work is offered).
You will need a full drivers licence for driving the company car, and your own transport in order to get to work.
