Out of School Hours Care (OSHC / OOSH)

Full Time position | 38 hours a week

OSHC is guided by a positive play-based Framework (curriculum), with a focus on social and emotional development of children.

What's involved?
Support the Coordinator with the day to day management and administration of the service.
Work with the Coordinator to develop and deliver a quality service to meet the needs of the children and the school community.
Work as a team to ensure the implementation of developmentally appropriate programs for children.
Contribute, through management meetings, to the development of the services policies, Quality Improvement Plan and other areas of the service.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the service in the temporary absence of the Coordinator and for management and compliance with licensing and all statutory and quality standards issues.
Ensuring a high-quality standard of care is provided and that a positive, safe and professional environment is maintained for all.
Assist the Coordinator in creating a positive team culture and effectively mentoring, managing, supporting and developing the educators at the centre.

Who are we looking for?
A relevant qualification to the childcare / teaching industry, or other relevant qualification.
CHCPRT001:Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection.
HLTAID004:Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting.
Minimum 2 years experience in child related employment.
Strong work ethic, self-motivated Educator who has initiative, is organised and patient. They are open minded, flexible and have a genuine desire to work with children.
Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, National Quality Standards and National Law and Regulations.
Great communication, time management, organisational skills and leadership abilities.
A positive, professional and co-operative approach to working with educators, parents and the school community.
