Orderly - Department of Critical Care Medicine-ADHB5591Full time rostered shifts, 40 hours per week, permanent Monday to Sunday
Join our DCCM team in this essential role providing direct patient care under supervision of the ICU Registered Nurses and other Health Professionals.
You will be a hospital orderly who takes pride in their work and will be accountable for ensuring the delivery of prompt, efficient and patient focused service at DCCM.
Our intensive care patients require 2 hourly turns to prevent ventilator associated complications, so you must be physically fit to assist. As you know, some of the tasks include responsibility for inter department specimen and item deliveries; sharps buckets, linens, rubbish disposals as well as assisting with transporting, lifting and washing of our patients. The orderly role in DCCM is integral to the team for a wide range of tasks supporting the intensive environment.
Ideally you will have:
Orderly experience in a New Zealand Hospital
Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills
Good communication skills in both oral and written English
Clean Driver's Licence.
Right to work in New Zealand at time of application: New Zealand Citizenship or New Zealand Residency.
