We have an opportunity for an energetic person who is looking to advance their farming career to
manage our sheep and beef property 30 minutes inland from Wairoa.
You will be responsible for the day to day management of the farm including that part of the budget relating to the farm operation, grazing, breeding, R and M, stock sales and staff. You will be expected to be familiar with the farm policies and operate within these guidelines.
The farm winters 4000 ewes, 1200 ewe hoggets, 380 cows, 100 R2 and 120 R1 heifers plus 100 other cattle on 900 ha effective.
The ideal person will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, motivated to succeed and be able to work in a team and to lead. We want someone with a range of skills and knowledge although people earlier in their careers will be considered.
